Racquetball and singing
Well, not together... it was actually racquetball then singing. You see, Alexa had a weekly checkup appointment with the birth center today. Everything's cool. Baby Carter's heartbeat is strong and the growth rate is good. Since the birth center is right down the road from my work, she came and hung out with me in the office for a while till we went down to play racquetball at the university gym. That place was like a sauna tonight. The r-ball courts are not air conditioned and they'd had all day to heat up. We were dripping after two games. She came close to winning the first one. Really had to work to hold her off. She's getting better as the pregnancy progresses. It's a rather counterintuitive process.
Later on tonight I had practice with the mens' singing group at church. We'll be ready to pull another out at church pretty soon. Not concert-quality performances here, but it's fun to have a group to sing with. Came back and started putting the finishing touches on the bedside table I'm building for Alexa. Just gotta finish the sanding and put on the varnish. That's all for tonight. Baby count is T-16 days.

aw, that table is so cute!! Thank you for writing in this! It makes me so so happy!!!! :-D
Alexa did some of the corner routing on the legs and most of the sanding. Maybe I'll get her building furniture someday.
Now THAT would be so great! Alexa the carpenter!! With big burly arms, of course!!
