Language skills

Those of you who have been around Aria lately know that she's quite a talker. Proud parent moment: her vocab is rather large and she's getting very adept at grammar (verb tenses, pronouns, etc). Her biggest sentence so far was this one:

"Mommy, help put Aria's shoes on 'cause Aria's toes stick out."
Said to Alexa when they were outside the other day. Indeed, her foot had scooted so far forward that her toes were hanging out. We were impressed since this was the first time that she had strung two ideas together with because, or "cause".

Courtesy of Grammie's yard sale shopping, she now has a sandbox on the deck. We put her out there to play sometimes, and have been trying to teach her to ring the doorbell if she needs us. A couple days ago, she was out there and I heard her at the door yelling, "Mommy, come out!" I went out and reiterated that if she wanted us then she needs to push the doorbell. She gave me a confused look, looked back at the doorbell and said, "Already on!" It took me a second, but I finally realized what she was talking about. When we go to my office, we ride the elevator and she gets to push the buttons. She knows she has successfully pushed the elevator button when it lights up. Well, we have a lighted doorbell.
