Home again
We just returned yesterday from our Christmas travels. We were gone about a week and a half, visiting Charlotte (both of our families) and Chattanooga (Alexa's extended family). Aria did very well with the travels. We were worried about the 6-hour Chattanooga trip since 2.5 hours was the longest she had traveled. Thankfully, she slept a lot of the time and was in a pretty good mood when she was awake.
While we stayed with Alexa's parents in Charlotte, Aria shared our room. I never realized how noisy she is when she is sleeping, especially in the morning when she's getting close to waking up. We also had to be very quiet and keep the room dark at night and morning so she'd stay asleep. Last night (our first night back in Durham), it was so nice to keep lights on and be able to talk and move around without stepping on things. It's good to be back. I'm staying around the house today while doing some work-related things for part of the day. It's nice to have a job that's so flexible.
